Today there are several different types of countertop material’s available. With the broad range of materials available, homeowners can create a variety of design looks.

Material Types:

Laminate – Very commonly used product that offers a wide variety of color and designs. Also offers different finishes on the laminate itself to make the product look and feel more like a natural stone.

Cultured Marble – Very common application for bathroom vanity tops or shower surrounds. Surface resembles real marble but is actually a man – made product. This type of product can have an integrated sink bowl made of the same material.

Acrylic – Man – made product that is non-porous and resistant to staining. It is a seamless product and offers the ability to have an integrated sink.

Granite – makes up a large portion of the solid surface products that go into homes. It is a natural stone with a large selection of colors and offers good durability. Due to it being a natural product it does require some maintenance to protect it from staining and bacteria.

Quartz – has gained a lot of popularity in the last few years for its durability and resistance to staining. Man – made product utilizing 93% quartz and 7% resin. There are a variety of manufacturers and color lines to choose from.
